More on what Tantra is

Tantra is a mother. Gentle and nurturing, silently wise, she shines the light of truth upon the dark illusions burdening our minds. She is the caretaker of Earth, for thousands of years patiently guiding us to our truth. Tantra is a child. Demanding out attention, she brings us infinite joy when we offer our abundant love. She knows simply that God feels good. Tantra is a father. He protects our innocence, defends our self-respect, and insists on purity in our actions. Tantra seeks to open the heart. Within our hearts resides the pinnacle of every human desire. Our hearts are our inseparable link to God. Knowing this, we will never want.

Many wondrous things have happened on my way to knowing my heart. Most important, my sense of spirituality expands daily. Tantra stimulates energies within my body that help me feel God's presence. My kundalini has awakened, its delicious juices elevating my spirit with each phase of the Moon. I have learned faith, patience, and trust. I have learned integrity, honesty, and being good got good's sake.

I have learned to know my hidden agendas, the dark needs of my ego that can lie dormant but poised to destroy my higher purpose. I learned not to fear my shadows that are built of separation and doubt. I learned that oneness with God is not a destination but rather a path walked in the moment of now."

"The one sacrifice that tantra asks is that we change everything within us that is not in our best interest. We must let go of everything that resists love. Every negative thought about ourselves and every negative feeling we have about the world around us: these must be surrendered.
