About Leandra

"The story of our life is, in the end, not our life. It is our story"

(From the movie Americano)

Leandra

Tantra has become my way of life. I came to Tantra after years of experiencing fully all that was placed in my life to experience. I always had a sense of wanting to understand, wanting to grasp what all this life is about. A sense of life having to mean something more than just being born, living and then dying, seemed to drive me to deeper realms of searching until I found Tantra. This is however not the end of my quest for understanding and personal growth -Tantra allows me continual growth.

I lived in Europe for 28 years, and this has been a great influence on my life. Being exposed to another culture so intensively is a wonderful learning curve, but I missed South Africa all the time and never lost the feeling of my roots being here. I have been back home since early 2002 and loved every minute of it. In spite of all the problems here I am very happy to be home. I lived long enough in Europe to see that there too, negative changes take place and that all the issues we have here, are there also in one form or another. I believe that part of the spiritual path is to always see the glass as half full instead of half empty and to be grateful for the fullness there is.

What I can say is that Tantra is the most direct way of getting there. It is also the most playful and enjoyable! In my work, I try to create an atmosphere of acceptance and a safe, secure and loving space in which massage guests and Tantra sessions clients can relax and open up into.

I have been richly blessed with gifted Tantra teachers:

Swami Advait Rahasya
Rahasya was the first Tantra teacher I contacted and it was with him that I experienced my tantric initiation. This was a deep, emotional and highly spiritual experience for me and sadly, as I was finding my feet in my new tantric expression of life, our differences grew and our paths parted. It has taken me some years to embrace the differences in our schools of thought, until recently I was able to realise just how valuable this difference had been to me. When we then finally met up again for a coffee chat, and after having no contact during these years, I found it was as if we had never parted. I am extremely grateful for all that I learnt from him. Our differences were part of my journey and assisted in forming who I am today. He is founder of the Advait Tantra School in South Africa.

Rahasya on Leandra:
"My work with Leandra was about helping her to some key realisations. These unlocked her potential, allowing her rich experience in healing and her deep understanding to express in fullness. The next step for her, was an intensive immersion in sacred-sexual technique with two German schools. She came to the work of Tantra already steeped in awareness from her previous healing modalities, including pioneer experience in art therapy. Now, her healing work manifests the love of the Earth Mother, is fuelled by the totality of the Gnostic Priestess and is firmly rooted in her own awareness."

Ron Solo is an international Tantra coach based in Australia, now retired except for one short international tour every year. He specialises in tantric touch and tantra massage and has facilitated workshops around the globe for over 25 years. His own training began here in South Africa in the mid 70's with two wonderful tantrikers, Sue and then later Jill, herself an international tantric touch specialist, who both mentored him until the end of their lives. Ron further developed their work and has set "golden standards" internationally in the field of tantric touch. My training with Ron in December 2006 took place in South Africa on one of his personal visits here. I am deeply grateful that Ron has taken on to be my mentor and is thus passing on the quality of Tantra taught by his own mentors, and which he further developed, to continue here in South Africa.

Ron on Leandra:
"Leandra you are a beautiful, gentle, soul and of all the people I have had the privilege of teaching, you have been the best and most interesting pupil. Your knowledge of Tantra is vast and spans a variety of tantric disciplines. You are like a sponge soaking up what you are taught, processing it, and giving it your own slant. That is what Tantra is all about, an evolving spiritual modality with people putting in new ideas and fresh slants. You have a beautiful touch and this is evident in your massage. Your massages are soft, spiritual and very sensual. I hope to be able to spend time with you in the future teaching you new things that I am being taught and also learning from you. You are an asset to Tantra in South Africa. Leandra I wish that the ride (journey) that your tantric tiger is taking you, allows you to experience a greater hight of tantric understanding, pleasure and takes you to the places that you have always dreamed of. Lots of tantric love."

KlausSmets of the tantra massage school where I trained in Germany (Wellness-Bodywork, Wuppertal), gently guided me and allowed me to share in his deep knowledge and understanding of what Tantra is about. He taught me that love is at the centre of Tantra, and he taught this through his total acceptance of who I was at the time, combined with his loving touch. He encouraged me to take up this work and at the same time taught me that it was necessary and important for me, to find my own way within what he was teaching. It is with his blessing, that I began this work, Tantra Sacred Massage mid 2006. Since begining the work, I have continued learning with various teachers and what I can say, is that it is a passionate learning that never stops.

Klaus on Leandra:
"Leandra came to us early last summer, and we got to know her as an artist on the way to herself. After her first experience of the Tantra massage, it appeared to me that she had found exactly this. I have rarely been touched so holistically and sensually, with so much loving affection - and I say this although I have had assimilated numerous experiences in my life and received many massages. I have the feeling that something similar happened with Leandra as with me: she did not need to learn anything new - everything was already present in her. It was as if a long existing but forgotten source opened up, as if she discovered a secret that slept quietly hidden in her."
